Sandra Moon Event – Limited Courts Available

Hello Huntsville Pickleball Club, we wanted to give you fair warning that there is an event at Sandra Moon Courts this weekend, so courts 7-12 will be reserved, this Saturday, August 2nd, 2025.

Fern Bell Recreation Center

107A Sanders Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35802

If you are looking for a place to play this weekend, don’t forget Fern Bell Recreation center for indoor play!

  • Saturday 9am-12pm
  • Sunday 1pm – 4pm

Remember to check court scheduled each week as they may change from week to week.

Evening Training Sessions at Challenger Aug 4th and 5th!!

The Huntsville Pickleball Club has partnered with the Huntsville Parks and Recreation Department to offer beginner and intermediate training and drill/skill sessions.

Everyone is welcome!

  • When: August 4th and 5th
  • Time: 6-8 pm at Challenger Gym.

Beginner Training

This session is for newer players that want to start with the basics and get started on the right foot! This is a two part training so plan to attend both sessions.

Beginner training sign up will be done using the Civic Rec Link at
https://secure.rec.com/AL/huntsville-al/catalog . If you have any questions or issues
with the sign up please contact Mr. Dean Noblitt, Community Center Supervisor at
Challenger Gym and he will assist you with the sign up process. His number is 256-

Drills and Skills

The Drills and Skills training is for players at 3.0 – 3.5 level who want to improve their skills and consistency.

In order to provide drill/skill opportunities for as many people as possible, we are asking that you sign up for only one session using Playtime Scheduler. You can access the free

Huntsville Pickball Members!

Summer is upon us and temperatures are getting hotter!  So, come cool off at HPC’s 2025 “BEAT THE HEAT” Tropical Tournament on Saturday, July 26, 9AM, indoors at the UAH Fitness Center.  See our flyer below for details and a link to register.

We will be supporting Free 2 Teach again by collecting school supply donations.  Some good options are boxes of crayons, scissors, pencils (wood and mechanical), science goggles, glue sticks, paper, calculators, and notebooks.  Any donation will earn you 10 bonus points added to your game points.

Club members only (for liability reasons), so join or renew for $10 before you register.  Come play with old friends and meet some new ones.  If you’d just like to come watch and socialize, that’s okay, too – we’d love to see you there!

Pickleball on the Moon 2025 Opening Celebration Party

Everyone is invited to have some fun with us and raise money Friday night, May 2nd, at Back Forty, 5 pm. You do not have to be a registered player to attend. This is open to the public. If you are a registered player, you will receive 5 free Chance to Win tickets. Most of our Chance to Win prizes will be drawn on Friday night, but we will have a couple of paddles/prizes saved for Saturday and Sunday drawings as well.

Exciting Skill and Drills Changes!

Skills and Drills, held each Tuesday at Optimist Park, is changing to better accommodate
our members and friends.

Beginning in April drills will offered on 2 levels – Weeks 1 and 2 will be open to rating 3.25-
3.50. Weeks 3 and 4 will be open to rating 3.0-3.5. For months that have 5 Tuesdays, drills
for the 5th Tuesday will be open to any rating level.

More members can now attend and improve their pickleball play. Keep your eyes on
playtimescheduler.com for registration opportunities each Friday after 2p.m.

Additional Pickleball play times are now available.

Now that youth basketball has ended, additional play times are available as follows:

Saturday Open Play at Fern Bell is back. Hours on Saturday are from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Evening open play at Challenger Gym is now available Monday thru Friday from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Hours during HCS Spring Break (3/11-3/15) are as follows: Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
